It’s always the toughest to write about somebody passing away, especially at a long age. With Bengals receiver, it’s even a bit harder for me, considering that we’re the same age. Granted, I don’t know what would lead him to get into the back of a moving pickup truck and what Henry and his fiancée were arguing about, but it seems like such a horribly unfortunate situation.
Henry was something of an enigma in the world of football. He had a lot of talent, but couldn’t stay on the field. Whether it was arrests and suspensions earlier in his career, or injuries more recently, Henry had had to miss more than his fair share of contests in his short career. And since he was out of the Bengals lineup this season because of a broken arm, the team has lacked a true deep threat and their offence has had to resort to grinding out games.
I’m sure that more details of his death will be brought to light in the coming days, but for now, our thoughts should all be Henry’s family, friends and teammates.
