NFL picks for Week 9

by Dan Bilicki In: Football, Picks

The lines are from 5Dimes and the home teams are in CAPS.

Atlanta -8 over INDIANAPOLIS
While the Colts will play better at home, the Falcons really need this big win.

Tampa Bay +10 over NEW ORLEANS
The Bucs beat the Saints just four weeks ago, why is this line so high?

HOUSTON -12 over Cleveland
This line might as well be ARIAN FOSTER -12 over Cleveland. The Browns’ offence is just plain grim.

BUFFALO -1 over NY Jets
At the beginning of the season, I never would have believed this line would be where it is and I never would have believed I’d be taking the Bills.

KANSAS CITY -3.5 over Miami
The Dolphins are terrible, how are they only getting 3.5 points?

San Francisco -3.5 over WASHINGTON
The Skins are too banged up to hang with the Niners – even if they’re flying across the country.

Seattle +12.5 over DALLAS
Tarvaris Jackson is just good enough to keep this game within two TDs.

OAKLAND -8 over Denver
It’s a lot easier to feel good about betting on Carson Palmer this week.

Cincinnati +1.5 over TENNESSEE
Why would anyone think that the Titans can move the ball against the Bengals’ sneaky-awesome defence?

St. Louis +1.5 over ARIZONA
It’s time to queue the Rams late-season resurgence.

NY Giants +10.5 over NEW ENGLAND
The trioka of talented Giants receivers will wreak havoc on the woeful Patriots secondary.

Green Bay -5.5 over SAN DIEGO
The Chargers running game is banged up right now and Philip Rivers just looks distracted. Not good times for San Diego.

PITTSBURGH -3.5 over Baltimore
The Steelers will be eager to prove that the Week 1 blowout loss was just a fluke.

PHILADELPHIA -9 over Chicago
Do you honestly think the Bears can protect Jay Cutler long enough for his receivers to get into some space?

Last week: 8-5
This season: 58-56-2
