NFL Week 11 picks

For the first time this season, the Indianapolis Colts have absolutely no chance at losing this week. Of course, they have zero chance at winning either because they’re on a bye. That insures that their two-game lead in the Andrew Luck sweepstakes will stay intact. I can just picture the Colts sitting around their facility watching games and cheering on all of the 2-7 teams, trying to put even more distance between themselves and the pack. Sure, it may not be sportsmanlike to seemingly throw games, but cheering on other squads can’t hurt, right?

Lines are from 5Dimes and the home teams are in CAPS

ATLANTA -7 over Tennessee
At what point in this up-and-down season are the Titans going to go to Jake Locker? Another loss and the rumblings should really start.

Buffalo +1 over MIAMI
These two teams are headed in opposite directions, but you can’t deny that the Dolphins aren’t that good at home.

Cincinnati +8 over BALTIMORE
The Bengals were in it up until the end against the Steelers, why can’t they hang with the Ravens this week?

Jacksonville (pick) over CLEVELAND
How can anybody like the Browns’ offence at this point? They have it figured out on defence, but it’s not enough. Bet the under here too.

MINNESOTA (pick) over Oakland
Adrian Peterson is going to have a field day this week. I wouldn’t be surprised if he scored three or more TDs.

DETROIT -8 over Carolina
If Chris Johnson proved anything last week, it was that anybody can run against the Panthers.

GREEN BAY -16 over Tampa Bay
The Bucs were just beating quite soundly by the Texans and the Packers are even better than them.

WASHINGTON +8.5 over Dallas
The Redskins are always going to play the Cowboys tough, plus their defence was quite strong when they met earlier this season in Dallas.

Arizona +11 over SAN FRANCISCO
The Niners have to slip up sometime, why not here? They may not lose, but with a banged up Frank Gore, they won’t cover.

Seattle (pick) over ST. LOUIS
The Seahawks didn’t win pretty against the Ravens, but it was still a win and they’re better than the Rams.

CHICAGO -3.5 over San Diego
I’m starting to think that A) the Bears are for real and could be a fearsome No.5 seed & B) The Chargers aren’t as good as we might think they are.

NY GIANTS -5 over Philadelphia
A loss here essentially kills the Eagles’ season and the Giants would love to drive that stake in their hearts.

NEW ENGLAND -16 over Kansas City
Not only are the Chiefs facing a hot Patriots squad, they’re doing so with Tyler Palko starting at QB.

This week: 1-0
Last week: 7-9
This season:  73-73-2
