California, here they come+ Week 15 picks

It’s a shame that potentially the final game that the Rams play in St. Louis featured them wearing those yellow Color Rush monstrosities.

It’s looking more and more likely that at least one team will be moving L.A. next season and it would probably be most fitting if the Rams are it.

After all, St. Louis did take the team from L.A. back in the 1990s, a return makes sense.

It would be a lot better than seeing the Chargers leave San Diego – though it seems like all of their fans have already checked out, already resigned to the thought of their team heading north.

The Raiders may have a terrible stadium which they share with the A’s, but the solution there should be to build a new one instead of abandoning the Bay Area. Oakland’s fans are among the league’s best and show it at every home game. Which is really saying something considering how bad this team has been for the past decade or so.

Moving a team to Los Angeles makes sense and needs to happen for this league, but the right decision needs to be made on which team lands in that gold mine.

The lines are from Vegas and the home teams in CAPs.

Tampa Bay +1 over ST. LOUIS

The Rams are a weird team that really lack consistency. You really have to wonder if Jeff Fisher will be the coach next season.

DALLAS +3.5 over New York Jets

The Cowboys really should be in it to lose, but this just seems like a game the Jets will blow and regret it when they miss the playoffs.

Chicago +5.5 over MINNESOTA

Taking the points in a rivalry game never hurts and the Vikings are still banged-up on defence.

Atlanta +3 over JACKSONVILLE

The Falcons can’t just lose out after starting so well, can they? The Jags have been on fire offensively, but Atlanta can play some good defence.

INDIANAPOLIS (nl) vs. Houston

A huge division matchup and we have no idea who will be starting at QB for either team – fun!

Kansas City -7.5 over BALTIMORE

Do the Ravens have anybody left playing offence? Signing Ryan Mallett is about as desperate you can get these days.

Buffalo (pk) over WASHINGTON

Is Washington really a team to believe in? Tyrod Taylor is due for a “wow” game.

Tennessee +15.5 over NEW ENGLAND

The Pats can afford to take their foot off the gas a little bit if they go up early. With the Broncos and Bengals a game behind, a first-round bye is as good as theirs.

Arizona -3.5 over PHILADELPHIA

The Cardinals are the high-flying team that Chip Kelly was supposed to turn the Eagles into.

NEW YORK GIANTS +5 over Carolina

The Giants know a thing or two about handling undefeated teams. At the very least, they can keep it close.

SEATTLE -14.5 over Cleveland

This one should get ugly. You can’t make this line high enough, really.

Green Bay -3 over OAKLAND

The Packers got their running game going last week while the Raiders are facing a letdown after a big win over Denver.

Miami +2 over SAN DIEGO

We bet the schedule-makers figured this would be a tasty last-season matchup with playoff implications. Boy, were they wrong.

PITTSBURGH -7 over Denver

The Raiders really exposed Brock Osweiler last week and the Denver’s offence is really sputtering. Could Peyton Manning be back soon?

Cincinnati -4.5 over SAN FRANCISCO

Great stat that an Alabama QB hasn’t started and won since 1987. Well, that should change this week as the Bengals are just flat-out better than the Niners.

Detroit +3 over NEW ORLEANS

What a woofer on Monday night. At least there’s plenty of fantasy playoff implications.

Last week: 7-8

This season: 112-87-7
