NFL Week 6 selections

The lines are from oddsshark.com and the home teams are in CAPs.

NEW ENGLAND -17 over New York Giants

The Patriots defence is straight-up incredible. We just can’t wait for New England to start playing some legit teams.

Carolina -2 over Tampa Bay at London

The Panthers have been red-hot with Kyle Allen at the helm and the defence has been playing better. Christian McCaffrey is looking unstoppable, too.

Houston +4.5 over KANSAS CITY

Have the Chiefs been figured out? OK, maybe not. But, K.C.’s defence is going to have too many problems trying to contain Deshaun Watson and the Texans’ passing attack.

Philadelphia +3 over MINNESOTA

The Vikings bounced back last week, but it was against a bad team in the Giants. We’ll never back Kirk Cousins against a contender and we certainly won’t be giving points in that scenario.

BALTIMORE -11 over Cincinnati

The Ravens defence hasn’t been holding up its end of the bargain, but the Bengals have been even worse. Cincinnati has the league’s second-worst run defence and should be sliced and diced by Baltimore. It’s risky giving this many points in a rivalry matchup, but this is a bit too tempting.

Seattle -1.5 over CLEVELAND

Russell Wilson is looking like an MVP candidate while the Browns look like the most overrated team in the league. Even on the road and giving points, we’ll take the Seahawks considering the advantages they have across the board.

JACKSONVILLE -1 over New Orleans

The Saints have some big games on the horizon, which could make this a little trap game. Gardner Minshew has been solid and the defence is coming together – not to mention that Jalen Ramsey is expected to play.

Washington -3.5 over MIAMI

Wow. What a terrible matchup. One of these teams has to win this game and we think the new-coach boost is enough to get Washington over the terrible Dolphins.

Atlanta -2.5 over ARIZONA

The Falcons are in the midst of falling apart, but the Cards just don’t have the talent to compete. Both sides are awful on defence and we should see a high-scoring game. Look for Matt Ryan and Julio Jones to have huge fantasy weeks.

San Francisco +3.5 over LOS ANGELES RAMS

Could the Rams really lose three straight games? With the 49ers really pounding the ball on the ground and their defence holding firm, we’ll gladly take the points in this divisional matchup.

Tennessee +2.5 over DENVER

The Titans are a .500 team and need a win to get back to that mark. Pretty easy, right? The Broncos took advantage of the wounded Chargers last week for their first win, but have struggled to finish games against tough opponents this season.

NEW YORK JETS +7.5 over Dallas

Sam Darnold’s return from Mono should provide a good boost for the Jets and, at this number, perhaps provide a backdoor cover. Dallas will be a trendy survivor pool pick, but covering on the road might be a tricky proposition.

L.A. CHARGERS -7 over Pittsburgh

The Chargers certainly have their issues and should be lacking a true home-field advantage here, but there’s no way you can trust Devlin Hodges in his first career start on the road in prime time on the opposite coast, right?

Detroit +4.5 over GREEN BAY

The Lions come off their bye and get an extra day off for good measure. Lambeau has been an historic house of horrors for the Lions, but not as much recently. At the very least, we should see Detroit keeping this close.

Last week: 12-3

This season: 46-31
