NFL MOCK DRAFT 4.0: Tagovailoa takes a tumble

We’re just over a week away from the draft which can only mean one thing: We’re in smokescreen season. We’re here to wade through some of the latest reports.

1. Cincinnati

Joe Burrow, QB, LSU

Probably the only mock selection in the draft that has no drama or suspense attached to it.

2. Washington

Chase Young, DE, Ohio State

Has a chance to give new coach Rivera an elite pass rusher right off the bat.

3. Detroit

Jeff Okudah, CB, Ohio State

Has the talent of a top-five pick and fits a need after the Lions traded away Darius Slay.

4. N.Y. Giants

Mekhi Becton, OT, Louisville

Lots of options for the Giants here, but Becton is massive (6-foot-7, 365 pounds) and as athletic as they come.

5. Miami

Justin Herbert, QB, Oregon

Here’s the shocker. Many reports are coming out that the Fins actually have Herbert ranked higher than Tua.

6. L.A. Chargers

Isaiah Simmons, LB, Clemson

The next shocker. L.A. reportedly has Herbert higher than Tua, too, and may be content to roll with Tyrod Taylor.

7. Carolina

Derrick Brown, DT, Auburn

Brown has the ability to blow up plays from the middle of a defensive front, a rare talent.

8. Arizona

Tristan Wirfs, OT, Iowa

After stealing Hopkins, we don’t see the Cards going WR. Instead protection for Murray is the move.

9. Jacksonville

Tua Tagovailoa, QB, Alabama

His big red flag isn’t just his hip, it’s the multiple other injuries he suffered. But at this point, the Jags can’t pass.

10. Cleveland

Jedrick Wills, OT, Alabama

After locking up the top RT in free agency, the Browns should seal up the other side with Wills.

11. N.Y. Jets

Jerry Jeudy, WR, Alabama

The Jets have a big need for offensive weapons and Jeudy would easily walk in as the team’s top WR.

12. Las Vegas

CeeDee Lamb, WR, Oklahoma

The 1A receiver in the draft, he provides a bit more speed than Jeudy, with only a slight lack of polish.

13. San Francisco

CJ Henderson, CB, Florida

Reportedly, 40% of teams may actually have Henderson ranked above fellow CB Okudah on their boards.

14. Tampa Bay

Andrew Thomas, OT, Georgia

We could easily see him go in the top ten in some scenarios, but if he falls to the Bucs, Thomas is a smart pick.

15. Denver

Henry Ruggs III, WR, Alabama

Would provide an amazing speed threat opposite the big-bodied Courtland Sutton for the Broncos.

16. Atlanta

K’Lavon Chaisson, DE, LSU

Pass rush has forever been a need for the Falcons, who should tab the draft’s second-best edge rusher here.

17. Dallas

Javon Kinlaw, DT, South Carolina

Could actually be a top-10 pick in this draft and would certainly be the best player available here.

18. Miami

Xavier McKinney, S, Alabama

The Fins have done well in free agency this off-season, but could still add a quality safety like McKinney.

19. Las Vegas

Patrick Queen, LB, LSU

Has the speed to be seemingly everywhere on the field and will be a good fit in an NFL defence.

20. Jacksonville

Kenneth Murray, LB, Oklahoma

After falling into Tua earlier, the Jags can now get a solid addition to the middle of their defence.

21. Philadelphia

Justin Jefferson, WR, LSU

After adding Slay via trade, the Eagles’ next massive need is at WR. Jefferson would be a great addition if he’s here.

22. Minnesota

Kristian Fulton, CB, LSU

Three of their top corners from last year won’t be back, leaving this a big spot of need.

23. New England

Zack Baun, OLB, Wisconsin

A versatile linebacker that would fit well into Bill Belichick’s already-strong defence.

24. New Orleans

Jordan Love, QB, Utah St.

We’re almost certain this is Drew Brees’ last season and Love could use a year to grow under his tutelage.

25. Minnesota

Brandon Aiyuk, WR, Arizona State

After trading away Stefon Diggs, the Vikings have a big hole opposite Adam Thielen that needs filling.

26. Miami

Josh Jones, OT, Houston

There’s a bit of a dropoff after the top four tackles in the draft, but the Fins do have a need.

27. Seattle

Cesar Ruiz, OG, Michigan

It wouldn’t be a shock to see the draft’s top interior lineman go much higher than this spot.

28. Baltimore

Yetur Gross-Matos, DE, Penn State

The Ravens have always been a proponent of going best player available and YGM would fit the bill for us.

29. Tennessee

A.J. Epenesa, DE, Iowa

Could be seen as a bit of a project, but the Titans have the right coaching to turn him into a star.

30. Green Bay

Jalen Reagor, WR, TCU

Many mocks seem to think the Packers will grab a QB here, but adding a weapon for Rodgers makes more sense.

31. San Francisco

Ross Blacklock, DT, TCU

After dealing DeForest Buckner, the Niners could inject some more size on their D-line here.

32. Kansas City

Trevon Diggs, CB, Alabama

May trade back to add picks, but if the champs stay put and corner would fit their biggest need.
