I think we knew that, Joakim

Joakim Noah has gone and called ou Kevin Garnett, insisting that KG is a dirty player. That might have been the most obvious thing I’ve read today. Thanks, Joakim, but I think that everyone who has ever watched Garnett play knows that he’s as dirty as they come.

KG has gone about his recent years throwing slight elbows to others’ backs, he’s tugged on jerseys, set illegal picks and generally talked trash to anybody within earshot. He may not try to roll your ankle like Bruce Bowen, but he’s definitely not above rolling in the mud.

Now, he’s gone out and let his intensity get the best of him, elbowing Quentin Richardson in a scrum near the end of Game 1 of the Heat-Celtics playoff series. He has been rightfully suspended, but some of his on-court antics have just gotten to be too much. I hate to criticize a guy for playing like his head is on fire, but there needs to be some semblance of control in any game.

I’m glad he’s going to be forced to sit out a game, but I already know that he’ll come back for Game 3, too fired up, as per usual, and try some of his garbage again.
