DENVER +5.5 over NY Jets
The Jets have to fly across the country and play on three days of rest after playing a Sunday night game. They also have a very truncated period of time to try to analyze Denver’s funky new running game that seems like something out of the 1940s. Plus, they just got crushed by the biggest rivals. Throw in the Mile High advantage, which only gets better as the season rolls on, and I really just can’t justify giving the points. Tim Tebow won’t be throwing the ball much against the Jets, but with Darrelle Revis out there, would you really want him to?
The worst-case scenario for Denver would be the Jets grabbing a big early lead, forcing the Broncos to have to air it out, but I’m not so sure that will happen.
