The Minnesota Vikings have a definitive “This ship is sinking†vibe.
Three QBs have started and had their confidence summarily crushed.
Their defence has been slipping by the week and wasn’t really that good to begin with.
Players are taking shots at the coaches, saying that they aren’t mentally tough enough to close out games.
There isn’t much going right for the Vikes these days. There were even rumours that Adrian Peterson – maybe the best player to ever don the purple and gold, could be traded at the deadline.
Washington isn’t in much better shape, but is still a step up from the Vikes.
Robert Griffin III is having an up and down season, looking hardly reminiscent of the budding star we saw last season.
The defence – apart from that one goal-line stand last week – has looked average at best.
So, when in doubt, take the team that isn’t chirping at its coach.
Pick: Washington -2.5 over MINNESOTA
Last week: 5-8
This season: 60-68-4
