While Canadian Thanksgiving has come and gone a month and a half ago, there’s no reason that we can’t be thankful for the bounty that is before us today.
Behold, the NFL has giving us one of the best Thanksgiving slates that we can remember. We have a battle for first in NFC North, a battle of the two rivals in the NFC East with serious playoff implications and a prime-time clash between two .500 teams that are both just a game out of a playoff spot.
There shouldn’t be any stinkers today, so let’s take the day off work and enjoy a gift from our neighbours down south.
The lines are from Vegas and the home teams are in CAPs.
DETROIT -2.53 over Minnesota
The Vikings seemed to right their course against the Cardinals last week, but let’s not forget that Arizona isn’t exactly doing well themselves. The Lions are a tricky team to figure out and giving points isn’t ideal, but they seem to come up with ways to win and have experience on Thanksgiving.
Washington +7 over DALLAS
This line keeps on getting pushed up and I’ll keep on taking the points. The Cowboys are the No. 1 team in the league, but don’t forget that Washington is on quite a roll, too. The Boys won in Washington earlier this season and I wouldn’t be shocked if the visitors return the favour here.
Pittsburgh -7.5 over INDIANAPOLIS
Andrew Luck is one of few players that you would consider legitimate NFLers on the Colts. With him in concussion protocol and Scott Tolzien under centre, Indy looks pretty doomed against this Steelers team.
Last week: 6-7-1
This season: 74-78-5
