The lines are from Vegas and the home teams are in CAPs.
Chicago +7 over GREEN BAY
That game was over before the Bears took their second snap of the night. And Mike Glennon’s failed shotgun snap knee fumble is something we’ve never seen before.
New Orleans -3 over Miami at London
Offence should be on the menu at Wembley Stadium. The Dolphins should be 0-2 and their travel nightmare only gets worse with this one.
Los Angeles Rams +6.5 over DALLAS
The Cowboys have yet to really impress and they haven’t faced a truly credible opponent yet. They shouldn’t be giving this many to a 2-1 team that just put up 41 points and has some extra rest.
Jacksonville -3.5 over NEW YORK JETS
So, here we are, seeing Blake Bortles’ Jaguars as a road favourite and we’re actually taking them. Strange days, indeed.
Cincinnati -3 over CLEVELAND
The Bengals finally got it together in their loss to the Packers. Against a familiar opponent, we should see them grab their first win of the season.
Buffalo +8 over ATLANTA
The Falcons haven’t suffered much of a Super Bowl loser letdown, but we can’t underestimate the Bills. Coach Sean McDermott has his team playing hard and should cover.
HOUSTON +1.5 over Tennessee
Deshaun Watson impressed against the Pats last week and the Texans were a stunning Brandin Cooks catch away from winning in New England. The Titans are a good team, but we’ll take the home ’dogs here.
NEW ENGLAND -9 over Carolina
Things don’t seem right in Carolina and a team like the Patriots isn’t one to try to work it out against. New England has some problems of their own, but not Carolina bad.
BALTIMORE +3 over Pittsburgh
No two teams play more close games than these two rivals. The Ravens are coming back from an embarrassing loss in London, but have a legit home-field advantage and we’ll take the points with them as home dogs.
MINNESOTA (NL) over Detroit
Case Keenum, Sam Bradford, does it really matter? They’re both all-pros! All kidding aside, while the Lions did get a bit of the shaft last week, the Vikes seem to have a real home-field advantage at their new stadium.
Philadelphia +1.5 over LOS ANGELES CHARGERS
With the way that their first home game was, we should expect at least half of the crowd cheering on the Eagles here. The Eagles have their flaws, but the Chargers seem to have even more.
New York Giants +3 over TAMPA BAY
The Giants have to turn it around one of these weeks, right? If Keenum and the Vikes WRs can light up the Bucs secondary, Odell Beckham should have a breakout week in this one.
San Francisco +7 over ARIZONA
The Niners are not good, but the Cardinals are not great. With Carson Palmer’s struggles and Arizona struggling a bit on offence, taking the points looks like the smarter idea here.
Oakland +2.5 over DENVER
Not sure what happened last week with these two, but this should be a good one. The Raiders need to bounce back and the Broncos were a bit exposed by the Bills, even if it took a stupid Von Miller penalty to do them in.
Indianapolis +13 over SEATTLE
The Seahawks are going to win this game, but can it cover an almost-two-TD spread? The offence isn’t there and the defence had some problems with Tennessee last week. The Colts might be able to grind their way to a backdoor cover.
KANSAS CITY -7 over Washington
After taking care of one AFC West opponent in prime time last week, we don’t see it happening again this week for Washington. Andy Reid’s boys will be tougher to contain for Washington’s defence and with a bye week looming, players might not be going their hardest.
Last week: 6-8-1
This season: 25-19-2
