NFL Week 10 picks

The lines are from oddsshark.com and the home teams in CAPs.

Indianapolis +2 over TENNESSEE

To anyone that says that special teams don’t really matter, the second half of this game proved them wrong. The Titans blew it with a shanked punt, a blocked punt and a missed FG.

GREEN BAY -13.5 over Jacksonville

The Jake Luton experience was fun last week, but we’ve seen surprise starters, well, surprise at times. The Packers are well-rested and should be unrelenting against the lowly Jags.

DETROIT (NL) over Washington

The Alex Smith comeback is an inspiring story, but that doesn’t put points on the board. The Lions have struggled against superior opponents this season, but Washington doesn’t fall into that category. Matt Stafford’s return from COVID and concussion scares should boost the hosts.

CLEVELAND -3 over Houston

The return of Nick Chubb is bad news for a Texans team that is in even more turmoil behind the scenes. The Browns should be able to move the ball effectively against a mediocre Texans defence.

Philadelphia -3.5 over NEW YORK GIANTS

Both of the Giants’ wins this season came against Washington, though when these two teams played in Week 7, Philly edged them out by a single point. The Eagles are getting healthier on offence with Miles Sanders and Dallas Goedert playing this time around.

San Francisco +9.5 over NEW ORLEANS

Let’s not get ahead of ourselves here after the Saints demolished the Bucs in prime time. The Niners are not a team that rolls over and have had a few extra days to prepare and get a bit healthier.

CAROLINA +6 over Tampa Bay

We have no doubt that the Bucs bounce back from that prime-time embarrassment, but don’t get so down on the Panthers. Carolina was right in it with K.C. last week and can’t be ruled out for a backdoor cover, if needed.

L.A. Chargers +2.5 over MIAMI

With incredible rookies on both sides, we should be in for a good matchup. While the Chargers are flying east, this has been moved to an afternoon start, negating one advantage for Miami. Overall, Justin Herbert’s supporting cast gives him the edge.

Denver +5.5 over LAS VEGAS

The Broncos have shown flashes of getting it together, but need some consistency. The Raiders play some high-scoring games, which could allow Denver to keep up.

Buffalo +1.5 over ARIZONA

Josh Allen and the Bills offence found their stride again last week, but the angle we’re looking at here is that the Cards have an important matchup against the rival Seahawks on Thursday night and could be looking past Buffalo.

Cincinnati (NL) over PITTSBURGH

The Steelers have a bad habit of playing down to their opponents and the Bengals have a good habit of getting covers with a record of 6-2 against the spread this season.

L.A. RAMS -1.5 over Seattle

Russell Wilson sure is cooking, but it’s the rest of his team letting him down. The defence has been sliced apart repeatedly and their running backs are all banged up. Sean McVay had his bye week to prepare for this one, too.

Baltimore -7 over NEW ENGLAND

We’re a tough place when Bill Belichick is too tough to trust while GETTING seven points. The Ravens offence hasn’t been as great as expected, but the Pats are struggling across the board.

CHICAGO +2.5 over Minnesota

Dalvin Cook has been incredible, but has his work cut out for him here. The Bears defence is a lot more stout than his previous two opponents. The Bears should also get some bodies back on their offensive line.

Last week: 5-8

This season: 64-62-3
