The lines are from oddsshark.com and the home teams in CAPs.
Minnesota +7 over NEW ORLEANS
Alvin Kamara vs. Dalvin Cook is an excellent fantasy matchup, but it’s in the passing game where the Vikings actually look to have the advantage. Drew Brees completed less than 50% of his throws in his return from injury and there are still concerns over his health.
Tampa Bay -9.5 over DETROIT
The Lions basically don’t have a coaching staff for this game, which is something they might be used to from the Matt Patricia reign. But, really, this is a team just playing out the stretch with little motivation.
ARIZONA -4.5 over San Francisco
This is a season that the 49ers would just love to forget. This team has been ravaged by injuries and it’s not stopping. The Cards won a tough one last week and shouldn’t be looking past this division rival.
LAS VEGAS +3 over Miami
The Raiders have faded in the playoff race but shouldn’t be underestimated here. The Dolphins are scrapping by but should hardly be a road favourite with Derek Carr likely to play.
Cleveland -10 over NEW YORK JETS
The Jets got their win last week – they won’t make that mistake again. The Browns are in the running for a shock division title and won’t let up.
Atlanta +10.5 over KANSAS CITY
The Chiefs just don’t lose while the Falcons are coming off another game in which they blew a big lead, but the main concern is that K.C. hasn’t won a game by more than eight points since Week 9 against the Jets.
HOUSTON -8.5 over Cincinnati
It’s hard to back the Texans at this price, but the Bengals won their personal Super Bowl last week, trumping the Steelers. It’s let-down time for Cincy.
PITTSBURGH +2 over Indianapolis
The Steelers have gone from undefeated to losing three straight and being a dog at home. While their struggles on offence are real, it’s hard to back Philip Rivers on the road, in the cold, as a favourite.
BALTIMORE -10.5 over New York Giants
The Ravens have found their stride on offence and could be a scary team in the playoffs if Lamar Jackson keeps it up. Daniel Jones is trending towards playing, but considering how banged-up he is, that’s not a good thing.
JACKSONVILLE +7.5 over Chicago
Things have been going a bit too well for Mitchell Trubisky and Co. This is the sort of game where he comes out and stinks, reminding you why he was benched in the first place. The Jags may not win, but a cover is certainly in play.
Denver +3 over L.A. CHARGERS
The Chargers are coming off a big win last Thursday night, but let’s not forget how bad both teams were in that game. L.A. might be the more talented side, but have a fair share of injury concerns and spotting points with Anthony Lynn at the helm is tough.
WASHINGTON -2.5 over Carolina
Ron Rivera might be looking for some revenge against his former team, but he’ll moreso be looking for a win to try to wrap up a playoff spot. Washington’s defence should clamp down on Teddy Bridgewater.
Los Angeles Rams +1.5 over SEATTLE
If the Rams aren’t motivated to bounce back from last week’s loss to the lowly Jets, there’s no hope for them. Could they have been looking ahead to this game? The Seahawks haven’t been getting the same MVP performance out of Russell Wilson that they had earlier this season, which could be trouble.
Philadelphia +2 over DALLAS
If there’s one thing that this bad Cowboys defence does worse than anything else, it’s defend against running QBs. The Eagles may have landed a future star in Jalen Hurts.
Tennessee +3 over GREEN BAY
It might be a road game for the Titans, but tackling Derrick Henry in the cold of Lambeau Field is going to be a tough task for the hosts. Let’s not underrate how well Ryan Tannehill has played, either. The big worry is betting against Aaron Rodgers in prime time.
Buffalo -7 over NEW ENGLAND
The passing of the torch. It’s still a bit shocking to see, but the Pats just aren’t good enough to keep up with playoff teams. Losing shutdown CB Stephon Gilmore and starting RB Damien Harris only makes matters worse.
