NFL WEEK 6 PICKS: The Bengals roar

The lines are from covers.com and the home teams are in CAPs.

Tampa Bay -6.5 over PHILADELPHIA

So, was the purpose of Philly going to for two just to cover? Because it doesn’t make much sense otherwise.

Miami -3.5 over Jacksonville in England

The Dolphins have the worst point differential in the league, but are still favoured in this one, which really tells you something about the Jags. The Urban Meyer saga should come to a merciful end with the Jags’ bye after this game.

Houston +9.5 over INDIANAPOLIS

The Texans have shown enough that they can be competitive against average competition, a category which this Colts team falls into.

CHICAGO +4.5 over Green Bay

While he isn’t putting up the fantasy numbers we all expected, Justin Fields has looked better by the week since becoming the Bears starter. This rivalry usually produces tight games, so taking the points is likely the right move.

Kansas City -7 over WASHINGTON

In case you haven’t heard, the Chiefs are in a bit of a crisis. This might have you rushing to grab Washington and the points at home, but this isn’t a Football Team that has done much to impress.

CAROLINA -1 over Minnesota

Christian McCaffrey seems set to return and that should the boost Carolina needs after dropping off the past two weeks. The Vikes haven’t been all that consistent this season and Dalvin Cook won’t be at 100% if he manages to suit up.

L.A. Chargers +3 over BALTIMORE

As thrilling as that overtime win was for the Ravens, they did not play well for much of the game before turning it on. The Chargers are looking like real contenders and we’ll have no problem taking the points in what should be a tight matchup.

Cincinnati -3 over DETROIT

The Lions just keep on losing players from a roster that was already fairly weak to begin with. The Bengals have a few issues of their own, but have generally impressed so far this season.

L.A. Rams -10.5 over NEW YORK GIANTS

Just about every Giant you know got hurt last week in a crushing loss to Dallas. Now, they’ve got to host a Rams team that has had a few extra days to rest a prepare for this long trip east.

Arizona +3 over CLEVELAND

The Browns are no joke, which is why they’re favoured over the league’s final unbeaten team. But

DENVER -3.5 over Las Vegas

How much will Jon Gruden’s resignation impact the Raiders? We’re used to seeing a new-coach boost, but Gruden was the man running the offence and that will be hard to be replaced on such short notice.

Dallas -4 over NEW ENGLAND

We’re sure Bill Belichick will have something up his sleeve to try to slow the Cowboys offence, but does he have the talent to do it? With Dallas’ defence actually looking legit, it could get a rare road win in New England.

PITTSBURGH -4.5 over Seattle

We can trash Big Ben forever, but the fact is we’re not going to be betting on a team with a historically bad defence and Geno Smith leading the offence.

Buffalo -5.5 over TENNESSEE

What’s not to like about the Bills? This is a complete team that seemingly has everything going for it. The Titans? Even with Derrick Henry running wild, there’s just not enough talent to compete with the elite.

Last week: 7-8-1

This season: 37-42-1
