NFL MOCK DRAFT: Lions take Thibodeaux at 2, but is QB an option?

With pro days and visits under way, we’re getting a much clearer picture as to what teams are thinking and where prospects stand.

1. Jacksonville

Aidan Hutchinson, DE, Michigan

One of the top O linemen may be an option, but the safe bet here says that Hutchinson is the top pick.

2. Detroit

Kayvon Thibodeaux, DE, Oregon

Could the Lions make a big swing and take a QB? Not with a couple of high-end edge rushing options here.

3. Houston

Ikem Ekwonu, OT, North Carolina St.

With so many needs, the Texans should take the best player available, and that’s Ickey.

4. N.Y. Jets

Ahmad Gardner, CB, Cincinnati

Sauce Gardner could easily step in and be the top corner on the Jets on Day 1.

Michigan defensive end Aidan Hutchinson.

5. N.Y Giants

Evan Neal, OT, Alabama

Putting the massive Neal opposite last year’s top pick, Andrew Thomas, will work wonders for the Giants.

6. Carolina

Malik Willis, QB, Liberty

With the top two offensive linemen gone, the Panthers might be penned into taking a QB.

7. N.Y. Giants

Travon Walker, DE, Georgia

We could see Walker go as high as second overall, and the Giants reportedly have been showing great interest.

8. Atlanta

Kyle Hamilton, S, Notre Dame

His tape says he might be the draft’s best player, but his workouts and position should see him fall.

9. Seattle

Charles Cross, OT, Mississippi State

The Seahawks would be better off waiting for a QB in next year’s class and start the rebuild on the line.

10. N.Y. Jets

Garrett Wilson, WR, Ohio State

Grabbing a top offensive weapon would go a long way to helping Zach Wilson develop.

11. Washington

Drake London, WR, USC

This big, physical receiver is the type that would complement the Commanders’ other weapons well.

12. Minnesota

Derek Stingley Jr., CB, LSU

There are health concerns, but after a great pro day showing, Stingley could easily vault into the top 10.

13. Houston

Jermaine Johnson II, DE, Florida State

After going with one side of the line at No. 3, the Texans should go on the other side with this pick.

14. Baltimore

George Karlaftis, DE, Purdue

Best player available meets a big need for the Ravens with Karlaftis, who might have top-10 talent.

15. Philadelphia

Trent McDuffie, CB, Washington

Need some depth and some youth in their defensive backfield with top CB Darius Slay getting up in age.

16. New Orleans

Trevor Penning, OT, Northern Iowa

Added a second first-rounder at the expense of next year, and could use both picks to move up into the top 10.

17. L.A. Chargers

Jordan Davis, DT, Georgia

Just miss out on one of the top OTs, but instead bolster the middle of their defensive front.

18. Philadelphia

Devin Lloyd, LB, Utah

Off-ball LBs haven’t been a draft priority for the Eagles, but Lloyd would be an excellent addition to their defence.

19. New Orleans

Jameson Williams, WR, Alabama

If not for a knee injury late in his college career, Williams likely would have been the top WR in the draft.

20. Pittsburgh

Kenny Pickett, QB, Pittsburgh

Signing Mitchell Trubisky isn’t exactly a  long-term answer for the Steelers, who need a QB to develop.

21. New England

Nakobe Dean, LB, Georgia

Dean may be a bit undersized for the Patriots’ system, but he makes up for it with his incredible athleticism.

22. Green Bay

Chris Olave, WR, Ohio State

If the Packers don’t take a WR here, there may be a riot. Olave has a lot of buzz heading into the draft.

23. Arizona

Devonte Wyatt, DT, Georgia

Davis’ teammate tested well and brings more to the table in pass rushing potential from the interior.

24. Dallas

Treylon Burks, WR, Arkansas

The Cowboys have some issues to address, but we’re buying reports on their interest in the electric Burks.

25. Buffalo

Andrew Booth Jr., CB, Clemson

With a Super Bowl-calibre roster, the Bills should look to add some solid depth at one of their weaker spots.

26. Tennessee

Zion Johnson, OL, Boston College

If the Titans want to keep up their excellent running game, they’ll need to upgrade their line.

27. Tampa Bay

Kenyon Green, OG, Texas A&M

Filled one of their holes at guard by trading for Shaq Mason and Green could easily fill the other.

28. Green Bay

Boye Mafe, DE, Minnesota

The Packers could double up with another WR here, but there are other needs to address, like pass rush.

29. Kansas City

Jahan Dotson, WR, Penn State

K.C. made some moves in free agency after trading Tyreek Hill, but need some speed at the position.

30. Kansas City

Daxton Hill, S, Michigan

The Chiefs need to replace Tyrann Mathieu, and the versatile Hill would fit that bill nicely.

31. Cincinnati

Tyler Linderbaum, C, Iowa

The Bengals already did a lot of work to strengthen their O-line, but shouldn’t hesitate on this talented centre.

32. Detroit

Matt Corral, QB, Ole Miss

It makes much more sense for the Lions to take a QB to develop at this spot than with their top pick.
