FINAL NFL MOCK DRAFT: Travon Walker goes first while QBs freefall

With a dearth of talent at the position in this year’s class, there’s a very real possibility that we don’t see a quarterback taken in the top 10 – or even 15 – for the first time in years.

1. Jacksonville

Travon Walker, DE, Georgia

His college production wasn’t great, but his size and athleticism put his potential through the roof.

2. Detroit

Aidan Hutchinson, DE, Michigan

A perfect fit for the Lions as the Wolverines star and Heisman candidate stays in state with Detroit.

3. Houston

Ikem Ekwonu, OT, North Carolina St.

With plenty of options here and another pick at 13, the Texans should grab the draft’s top O-lineman.

4. N.Y. Jets

Kayvon Thibodeaux, DE, Oregon

For coach Robert Saleh to get his defence to thrive, he’s going to need a talented rusher upfront.

5. N.Y Giants

Ahmad Gardner, CB, Cincinnati

In their new defensive system, a cover corner like Sauce would allow the Giants to utilize more blitzes.

6. Carolina

Evan Neal, OT, Alabama

Taking a QB here is a possibility, but without the proper support, it would be a plan destined to fail.

7. N.Y. Giants

Charles Cross, OT, Mississippi State

The Giants have been linked to Cross in many reports and should grab the excellent pass blocker.

8. Atlanta

Jameson Williams, WR, Alabama

Has gotten very positive reports on his recovery from a torn ACL and would instantly be the Falcons WR1.

9. Seattle

Derek Stingley Jr., CB, LSU

Wouldn’t be surprised if they reach for Penning, but Stingley has been graded by some as the draft’s top talent.

10. N.Y. Jets

Garrett Wilson, WR, Ohio State

The Jets need Zach Wilson to work out and getting him a weapon like this Buckeyes WR will help greatly.

11. Washington

Kyle Hamilton, S, Notre Dame

His tape is impeccable, but positional fit and testing numbers see him drop out of the top ten.

12. Minnesota

Trent McDuffie, CB, Washington

Could the Vikes be a wild-card spot for a QB? Not too likely, but we’d prefer a CB over an EDGE here.

13. Houston

Jermaine Johnson II, DE, Florida State

We could see Johnson go as high as fourth overall with the Jets reportedly quite interested.

14. Baltimore

Jordan Davis, DT, Georgia

This absolute beast and combine freak could anchor the Ravens defensive line for years to come.

15. Philadelphia

Drake London, WR, USC

A big, contested-catch monster would add another dimension to the Eagles oft-faltering passing game.

16. New Orleans

Trevor Penning, OT, Northern Iowa

With Pro Bowler Terron Armstead out the door, the Saints need to restock their offensive line.

17. L.A. Chargers

Chris Olave, WR, Ohio State

Missed out on the top four OTs, so might look to trade, but adding another talented WR wouldn’t hurt.

18. Philadelphia

Devin Lloyd, LB, Utah

We know Philly doesn’t take off-ball LBs early, but Lloyd should be the exception and would fill a role.

19. New Orleans

Kenny Pickett, QB, Pittsburgh

The Taysom Hill experiment is over and Jameis Winston isn’t a long-term solution. Time to draft a new QB.

20. Pittsburgh

Malik Willis, QB, Liberty

He’s the most explosive QB prospect and would provide a big reboot for the Steelers’ stale offence.

21. New England

Quay Walker, LB, Georgia

The Pats are always a trade-back candidate, but can fill a big hole in their defence with this rising prospect.

22. Green Bay

Treylon Burks, WR, Arkansas

Big, strong and versatile, Burks will fit in very well and help replace Davante Adams.

23. Arizona

George Karlaftis, DE, Purdue

Reportedly could fall out of the first round, but teaming Karlaftis with J.J. Watt would pay big dividends.

24. Dallas

Zion Johnson, OL, Boston College

With his strength and versatility, the Cowboys could use Johnson to plug one of several holes on their line.

25. Buffalo

Kaiir Elam, CB, Florida

The Bills are always in the mix to grab a player in the trenches, but cornerback is the bigger need right now.

26. Tennessee

Tyler Smith, OT, Tulsa

The Titans offensive line ranked among the league’s worst and needs an injection of talent and youth.

27. Tampa Bay

Kenyon Green, OG, Texas A&M

Filled one of their vacated guard spots via trade, but are in need of another starter and Green fits the bill.

28. Green Bay

Arnold Ebiketie, DE, Penn State

A big riser on many draft boards, Ebiketie has the motor and potential to be a steal for the Packers.

29. Kansas City

Daxton Hill, S, Michigan

Hill’s versatility would help the Chiefs replace a lot of what they’re losing with Tyrann Mathieu gone.

30. Kansas City

Boye Mafe, DE, Minnesota

The Chiefs may look to package their picks for a WR, but grabbing a pass rusher here also works.

31. Cincinnati

Tyler Linderbaum, C, Iowa

There are concerns about his size, but would fit the Bengals scheme and help complete their rebuild.

32. Detroit

Desmond Ridder, QB, Cincinnati

It might not be the Lions making this pick, but Ridder should end up being taken in the first round.
