After a big trade up for the top pick and tons of dollars thrown around in free agency, we have a better idea of team needs in the draft as the off-season rolls on.
1. Carolina
C.J. Stroud, QB, Ohio State
The best pure passer in the draft, Stroud is now the odds-on favourite to go first overall.
2. Houston
Bryce Young, QB, Alabama
Size will always be an issue, but Young has immense talent.
3. Arizona
Will Anderson Jr., DE, Alabama
The Cards have the draft’s best defensive player fall into their hands – if they don’t trade down.
4. Indianapolis
Anthony Richardson, QB, Florida
The Colts love their big, potential franchise QBs and Richardson brings that along with elite athleticism.
5. Seattle
Tyree Wilson, DE, Texas Tech
Could consider a QB here after resigning Geno Smith, but getting a potential star edge is a better move.
6. Detroit
Christian Gonzalez, CB, Oregon
Made a few veteran additions at DB, but should still look at Gonzalez, a potential young stud.
7. Las Vegas
Will Levis, QB, Kentucky
Jimmy Garoppolo is not a long-term solution for a team that needs a cornerstone QB to build on.
8. Atlanta
Devon Witherspoon, CB, Illinois
Made a good add in Jessie Bates at safety, but Witherspoon could form a solid tandem with A.J. Terrell.
9. Chicago
Jalen Carter, DT, Georgia
After trading back, the Bears can still land a potential first-overall talent who has off-field issues.
10. Philadelphia
Myles Murphy, DE, Clemson
The Eagles’ vaunted pass rush took some hits in free agency, look for them to replenish it early.
11. Tennessee
Paris Johnson Jr., OT, Ohio State
The Titans are starting a rebuild and that should start with their offensive line.
12. Houston
Lukas Van Ness, DE, Iowa
Has been drawing many comparisons to the Watt brothers, which should be welcome in Houston.
13. N.Y. Jets
Peter Skoronski, OT, Northwestern
This pick is likely being sent to Green Bay, but if that falls through, the Jets should add to their O-line.
14. New England
Jaxon Smith-Njigba, WR, Ohio State
The Pats have many needs, but getting another weapon to help Mac Jones is high on the list.
15. Green Bay
Dalton Kincaid, TE, Utah
A potential star pass-catching TE, Kincaid would complement the Packers young WR corps.
16. Washington
Joey Porter Jr., CB, Penn State
After beefing up their offensive line, the Commanders’ biggest need should be a cover corner.
17. Pittsburgh
Deonte Banks, CB, Maryland
Signing veteran Patrick Peterson in free agency doesn’t make this position any less of a need.
18. Detroit
Nolan Smith, OLB, Georgia
Picked up some young CB help at No. 6 and can now add an edge prospect rising up many boards.
19. Tampa Bay
Broderick Jones, OT, Georgia
After cutting starting LT Donovan Smith, the Bucs have a big need for a big offensive tackle.
20. Seattle
Quentin Johnston, WR, TCU
Putting Johnston opposite DK Metcalf would cause all types of headaches for opposing defences.
21. L.A. Chargers
Jalin Hyatt, WR, Tennessee
The Chargers are in desperate need of a downfield threat, especially with a new OC in charge.
22. Baltimore
Zay Flowers, WR, Boston College
We’re still waiting on the Lamar Jackson situation to play out, but either way, the Ravens need receivers.
23. Minnesota
Emmanuel Forbes, CB, Mississippi State
Has good size and great speed, Forbes is another hot prospect that is catching scouts’ eyes.
24. Jacksonville
Calijah Kancey, DT, Pittsburgh
If he shows well at his pro day like he did at the combine, Kancey could leap into the top 12.
25. New York Giants
O’Cyrus Torrence, OG, Florida
The Giants have a big need for an interior offensive lineman and Torrance is our top guy there.
26. Dallas
Michael Mayer, TE, Notre Dame
A great all-around TE, Mayer would replace Dalton Schultz and improve the running game.
27. Buffalo
Bijan Robinson, RB, Texas
On talent alone, Robinson could be a top-10 pick and would become an instant star in Buffalo’s offence.
28. Cincinnati
Brian Branch, S, Alabama
Could look at a TE like Darnell Washington, but have a big need for defensive backs after free agency.
29. New Orleans
Jahmyr Gibbs, RB, Alabama
Alvin Kamara is getting older and has a potential suspension coming, while Gibbs could be special.
30. Philadelphia
Anton Harrison, OT, Oklahoma
After starting to replenish their defensive line at No. 10, the Eagles look at offensive side here.
31. Kansas City
Darnell Wright, OT, Tennessee
Even after signing Jawaan Taylor, the Chiefs should look at keeping their O-line strong.
