We’re just over a week away from the first round of the draft and there is still plenty of variables at play. For one, we don’t even know who Carolina will take No. 1 overall. Here’s how it could shake out.
1. Carolina
Bryce Young, QB, Alabama
After talk that the Cats traded up to get Stroud, it’s now looking more likely that Young will be the pick.
2. Houston
C.J. Stroud, QB, Ohio State
If the Texans truly aren’t interested in Stroud (we don’t believe that), then a trade here could easily happen.
3. Arizona
Will Anderson Jr., DE, Alabama
He remains the top defensive player on our board and the Cards need all the talent they can get.
4. Indianapolis
Anthony Richardson, QB, Florida
The combine hype might be fading, but Richardson’s tools may be too enticing to pass up.
5. Seattle
Jalen Carter, DT, Georgia
Teaming up Carter with new signing Dre’mont Jones gives Seattle a dominant pair of interior linemen.
6. Detroit
Devon Witherspoon, CB, Illinois
Even with some DB additions in free agency, the Lions should continue to invest in the position.
7. Las Vegas
Christian Gonzalez, CB, Oregon
There are lots of holes to fill in Vegas and we could even see them take a swing at Will Levis.
8. Atlanta
Tyree Wilson, DE, Texas Tech
Trading for Jeff Okudah will help at CB and taking Wilson gives the Falcons a potential stud edge rusher.
9. Chicago
Paris Johnson Jr., OT, Ohio State
With Teven Jenkins likely moving to guard, the Bears should grab the top tackle in the draft.
10. Philadelphia
Peter Skoronski, OL, Northwestern
The Eagles offensive line is aging rapidly and Skoronski could fit in at either guard or tackle.
11. Tennessee
Will Levis, QB, Kentucky
After missing out on the top two offensive linemen, the Titans might get their QB of the future.
12. Houston
Jaxon Smith-Njiba, WR, Ohio State
After taking Stroud at No. 2, the Texans grab his pass-catching teammate for instant chemistry,
13. N.Y. Jets
Broderick Jones, OT, Georgia
Soon-to-be Jets QB Aaron Rodgers is going to need some protection after the trade finally happens.
14. New England
Lukas Van Ness, DE, Iowa
Big lineman is still a bit raw, but could develop into a stud pass rusher who also defends the run well.
15. Green Bay
Dalton Kincaid, TE, Utah
If the Pack want to give Jordan Love a chance to succeed, he’ll need some more good pass-catchers.
16. Washington
Deonte Banks, CB, Maryland
Could new ownership prompt the Commanders to make a big move up for a QB?
17. Pittsburgh
Joey Porter Jr., CB, Penn State
A seemingly perfect pick, with the son of a former Steelers star filling a big team need.
18. Detroit
Nolan Smith, OLB, Georgia
We wouldn’t be shocked to see Smith go in the top 10, so the Lions taking him with their second pick is a steal.
19. Tampa Bay
Darnell Wright, OT, Tennessee
The Bucs cut their starting left tackle and are looking at a big rebuild after Brady’s retirement.
20. Seattle
O’Cyrus Torrance, OG, Florida
If you consider Skoronski a tackle, then Torrance is the top interior line prospect in the draft.
21. L.A. Chargers
Zay Flowers, WR, Boston College
Justin Hebert needs a guy that has some quickness to compliment their aging WR corps.
22. Baltimore
Emmanuel Forbes, CB, Mississippi State
After signing Odell Beckham Jr., the Ravens can look elsewhere with their first-round pick.
23. Minnesota
Quentin Johnston, WR, TCU
The best WR prospect who actually has some size, he’ll take some attention off Justin Jefferson.
24. Jacksonville
Brian Branch, S, Alabama
An incredibly versatile defensive back, Branch could give the Jags a boost in several spots.
25. New York Giants
Bijan Robinson, RB, Texas
Saquon Barkley has yet to sign the tag, so the Giants may take his heir with this potential stud.
26. Dallas
Michael Mayer, TE, Notre Dame
Dallas finds an instant replacement for Dalton Schultz and a new TE target for Dak Prescott.
27. Buffalo
Drew Sanders, LB, Arkansas
Has some shades of Micah Parsons as a pass rusher and is developing good off-ball skills.
28. Cincinnati
Darnell Washington, TE, Georgia
A massive TE that can also throw some heavy blocks, he’ll be an immediate starter with Cincy.
29. New Orleans
Myles Murphy, DE, Clemson
We wouldn’t rule out the Saints taking Hendon Hooker – who is getting some late buzz – in the first.
30. Philadelphia
Calijah Kancey, DT, Pittsburgh
He may be undersized for a DT, but Kancey makes up for it with his explosiveness off the line.
31. Kansas City
Anton Harrison, OT, Oklahoma
The Chiefs offensive line was the key to the Super Bowl win, so keeping it strong is a priority.
