While Young seems like a lock to go first, the real drama begins with Houston at No. 2 and whether it’ll trade down, take a QB or a defender for new coach DeMeco Ryans.
1. Carolina
Bryce Young, QB, Alabama
For what he lacks in stature, the former Heisman winner more than makes up for it in talent and traits.
2. Houston
Tyree Wilson, DE, Texas Tech
A bit of a shocker, but the Texans reportedly are out on QBs and higher on Wilson than Anderson.
3. Arizona
Will Anderson Jr., DE, Alabama
The Cards are looking to trade back and accumulate picks, but Anderson would be a great selection.
4. Indianapolis
Will Levis, QB, Kentucky
There are a lot of signs pointing to the Colts trading up to get Levis while being out on Stroud.
5. Seattle
Jalen Carter, DT, Georgia
A lot of conflicting reports about this pick, but Carter is far too talented for Pete Carroll to pass up.
6. Detroit
Devon Witherspoon, CB, Illinois
Have already made some moves in their secondary but Witherspoon could be the final piece.
7. Las Vegas
Christian Gonzalez, CB, Oregon
Could be an option for Stroud or a trade, but there are other needs the Raiders can address here.
8. Atlanta
Bijan Robinson, RB, Texas
Arguably a top-five talent in the draft, Robinson can be a game-changer for the Falcons offence.
9. Chicago
Paris Johnson Jr., OT, Ohio State
Upgrading the offensive line needs to be a priority for the Bears to protect Justin Fields.
10. Philadelphia
Peter Skoronski, OL, Northwestern
The Eagles need to get younger in the trenches with several key pieces getting close to retirement.
11. Tennessee
C.J. Stroud, QB, Ohio State
Are likely to look at offensive tackles or Smith-Njiba, but also have a lot of interest in Stroud.
12. Houston
Jaxon Smith-Njigba, WR, Ohio State
While they don’t a QB in the first round for us, we could see them swing a trade for Trey Lance.
13. Green Bay
Darnell Wright, OT, Tennessee
Pick swap in the Aaron Rodgers trade allows them to take their pick between OT prospects.
14. New England
Lukas Van Ness, DE, Iowa
Could be active in the trade market – even moving up into the top 3 – if Mac Jones rumours are true.
15. N.Y. Jets
Broderick Jones, OT, Georgia
Both of their current tackles have big concerns and the Jets need to keep Rodgers upright.
16. Washington
Deonte Banks, CB, Maryland
Too many reports connecting the Terrapins star to the Commanders for us to overlook.
17. Pittsburgh
Joey Porter Jr., CB, Penn State
Offensive tackle is their other big need and could move up, but will settle for the son of a Steelers great.
18. Detroit
Anthony Richardson, QB, Florida
With Jared Goff still leading the offence, Richardson will get some time to develop behind him.
19. Tampa Bay
Dalton Kincaid, TE, Utah
Miss out on the four top QBs and the best OTs, but land a pass catcher with excellent potential.
20. Seattle
Zay Flowers, WR, Boston College
Getting a lot of hype as the WR2 behind JSN and would fill a need on Seattle’s offence.
21. L.A. Chargers
Michael Mayer, TE, Notre Dame
The Chargers are in need of pass catches, but taking a WR here would be a bit of a reach.
22. Baltimore
Nolan Smith, OLB, Georgia
Might be undersized, but is a good fit for the Ravens, who already addressed WR with OBJ signing.
23. Minnesota
Hendon Hooker, QB, Tennessee
We’re not entirely sure we get it, but the Vikings have shown interest in Hooker as a first-rounder.
24. Jacksonville
Brian Branch, S, Alabama
His versatility gives the Jags a solid piece for their defence and can play a lot of nickel corner.
25. New York Giants
John Michael Schmitz, C, Minnesota
Big Blue is looking to get better and deeper on the OL, though cornerback is certainly an option, too.
26. Dallas
O’Cyrus Torrence, OG, Florida
Could look at Sanders, Gibbs or a pass rusher here, but Torrence is a plug-and-play OG.
27. Buffalo
Drew Sanders, LB, Arkansas
The draft’s top off-ball linebacker should slot right in next to the re-signed Matt Milano.
28. Cincinnati
Jahmyr Gibbs, RB, Alabama
Joe Mixon’s future with the team is up in the air and Gibbs has been gaining steam as a first-rounder.
29. New Orleans
Myles Murphy, DE, Clemson
Always a team that loves to trade, the Saints could move or get D-line reinforcements.
30. Philadelphia
Calijah Kancey, DT, Pittsburgh
The Eagles do some more work in the trenches, this time taking the undersized Kancey.
31. Kansas City
Mazi Smith, DT, Michigan
There are a couple of OTs or WRs that are options, but the champs need some help on the D-line.
