In the Battle of the Billionaires, Elon Musk looks to have secured some of the best training that money can buy.
The Twitter and Tesla head honcho has seemingly taken up an offer from UFC legend Georges St. Pierre to help him train for the proposed MMA matchup with Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg.
“I’m a huge fan of yours and it would be an absolute honor to help you and be your training partner for the challenge against Zuckerberg,” St. Pierre tweeted last week.
On Tuesday, Musk replied to the Canadian legend: “Ok, let’s do it.”
Last week, Zuckerberg got an offer of his own from a UFC legend. Jon Jones, the current UFC heavyweight champion, offered up his services to the Meta boss.
“You already know I am Team Zuck … Let me know if you need a training partner!” Jones tweeted.
There has been no word whether Zuckerberg has accepted, but the 39-year-old Facebook CEO has been training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and recently won his first amateur BJJ tournament.
Whether or not the cage fight between Musk and Zuckerberg happens remains to be seen, as there’s also a big size difference between the two.
At 6-foot-1 and weighing between 185 and 200 pounds, Musk has sizable advantage over Zuckerberg, who stands at 5-foot-7 and weighs in at 154 pounds.
But, UFC president Dana White told TMZ Sports that both sides are “dead serious” about getting in the octagon and that he believes it would easily be the most-watched fight ever.
For what it’s worth, FanDuel has installed Zuckerberg as a massive -440 favourite, should the two square off.
