The lines are from Sportsbook Review and the home teams are in CAPs.
SAN FRANCISCO -10 over New York Giants
You had to know the Giants had no chance without Saquon Barkley against a Super Bowl contender.
BALTIMORE -8.5 over Indianapolis
The Colts have looked like a quality squad so far, but Anthony Richardson has suffered injuries in both games. Baltimore has also dealt with injuries, but hasn’t been slowed by them at all yet.
Tennessee +3.5 over CLEVELAND
After the devastating injury to Nick Chubb, the Browns now face one of the league’s better run defences. Can Cleveland overcome the absence of their top offensive weapon? It will be tough.
Atlanta +3.5 over DETROIT
The Lions have a Thursday nighter against division rival Green Bay straight after this and could be caught looking ahead. Atlanta has surprised some by starting 2-0 but not us. Bijon Robinson has been an excellent addition and getting more than a FG makes this a solid selection.
New Orleans +2 over GREEN BAY
The Saints have impressed so far this season and it’s largely due to their defence. The Packers are putting the pieces together and playing well, but also have that short week staring them in the face.
Houston +9 over JACKSONVILLE
The Jags are heading over to England for two weeks after this game and that has to be in the backs of their minds. Their offence also hasn’t been clicking like it should with all of the talent it has. We’ll take the points in this rivalry game.
MIAMI -6.5 over Denver
The Dolphins have passed both of their tests so far this season and have looked good while doing it. This is also the home opener in Miami and the weather is looking like it will be hot and sticky – an advantage for the Fins.
L.A. Chargers +1 over MINNESOTA
With both teams sitting at 0-2, expect them to go all out. The Chargers have fallen one possession short both times out and can’t afford to do so another.
New England -2.5 over NEW YORK JETS
If there’s one thing that Bill Belichick loves to do, it’s torment young Jets quarterbacks. This should be quite the defensive affair, but the Pats shouldn’t drop to 0-3 with Zach Wilson on their plate.
WASHINGTON +6.5 over Buffalo
The Bills were able to bounce back from their rough opener, but did so at home against a team that couldn’t create any pressure. The Commanders have a solid grind-it-out game and could keep it close.
SEATTLE -6 over Carolina
The Seahawks seemed to have gotten it together against the Lions and now have a Panthers team on short rest and flying across the continent.
ARIZONA +12 over Dallas
The Cowboys are looking like a monster team on both sides of the ball and are a solid survivor pick this week. But the Cards haven’t been lacking in the effort department, so we’ll take the points.
Chicago +12.5 over KANSAS CITY
Is this the game when the Bears finally draw up some runs for Justin Fields? It feels ridiculous that this question even needs to be asked but we’ll bank the points.
LAS VEGAS -2.5 over Pittsburgh
The Steelers are getting hit hard by the injury bug, with several key players either out or ailing. While the Raiders aren’t the best team by any means, they could take advantage of these holes.
TAMPA BAY +4.5 over Philadelphia
The Eagles may be 2-0, but haven’t looked like the reigning NFC champs so far. They’re feeling mortal this season and the Bucs should be lively home dogs in this faux prime time game.
CINCINNATI -3 over L.A. Rams
This one definitely feels like an over-reaction to the Bengals’ 0-2 start, giving fewer than three points at home in such a crucial early season game. Of course, if Joe Burrow does in fact sit, then we’ll change our tune.
Last week: 6-8-2
This season: 16-14-2
