NFL WEEK 4 PICKS: Cleveland Browns defence keeps Lamar Jackson on the run

The lines are from Sportsbook Review and the home teams are in CAPs.

Detroit -1.5 over GREEN BAY

The Lions look like they’ve announced themselves as the Kings of the NFC North.

Atlanta +3 over Jacksonville in London, England

While the Jags have the “home” advantage of playing overseas, they haven’t impressed much so far this season. Both teams need to bounce back from a loss and even Desmond Ridder may be able to pass the ball against this Jags defence.

Miami +2.5 over BUFFALO

Everyone saw all the stats about how great the Dolphins were last week in their massive win over the Broncos, which means everyone is likely backing them here getting a couple points. That makes this seem like a sucker bet, but what if the Dolphins are just straight up better than Buffalo? Weather won’t be a factor and the Bills have only looked good against two inferior teams.

Minnesota -4.5 over CAROLINA

Bryce Young returned to practice this week and we’re not so sure that’s a good thing for Carolina right now. The team has a long way to go while the Vikings have been on the wrong end of some bad luck so far.

Denver -3.5 over CHICAGO

As bad of a job that Sean Payton has done in his first three games with the Broncos, the Bears under Matt Eberflus have been even worse. Until Chicago starts drawing up some runs for Justin Fields, it’s impossible to back Da Bears.

CLEVELAND -3 over Baltimore

The Ravens got some key players back in practice this week, but will it be enough against arguably the league’s best defence? Myles Garrett’s Browns are wrecking offences so far this season and will have Lamar Jackson on the run.

Pittsburgh -2.5 over HOUSTON

The Texans are coming off a high, collecting a blowout win over a division rival. Well, the bandwagon is getting a bit too full in Houston and the Steelers should provide a big bump in the road for rookie C.J  Stroud.

INDIANAPOLIS -1 over L.A. Rams

Anthony Richardson looks on track to return for the Colts and that should provide a boost to a team that is a surprising 2-1. We don’t think the Rams playing a road game on a short week is a good enough spot to essentially take them straight up.

NEW ORLEANS -3 over Tampa Bay

The big question here is the status of Derek Carr, who is looking likely to miss this one and hand Jameis Winston a start against his former team. What really matters, though, is what Dennis Allen’s defence can do to shut down Baker Mayfield and Co.

Washington +8 over PHILADELPHIA

The Eagles are on a short week and we can’t forget that it was this Commanders team that handed the Eagles their first loss last season. Sam Howell may be coming off a truly bad performance, but we’re OK with this amount of points.

Cincinnati -2.5 over TENNESSEE

Joe Burrow clearly isn’t 100% and has adapted his game to play through his calf injury. While the Titans defence is great against the run, it will have its hands full trying to limit Ja’Marr Chase.

Las Vegas +5.5 over L.A. CHARGERS

The Chargers finally got into the win column, but needed a few fortunate turnovers from the Vikings to get it. The Raiders always plays them tough, so we’ll take the points – even if Jimmy G can’t go.

New England +6.5 over DALLAS

The Cowboys’ flaws came out in their loss to the Cardinals and, if you don’t think that Bill Belichick was watching, you’re crazy. Of particular interest should be how bad Dallas’ offence was in the red zone. That simply can’t happen against the Pats.

Arizona +14 over SAN FRANCISCO

If there’s one thing we’ve learned about the Cardinals this season, it’s that they may not have the most talent, but they have a ton of fight. Despite being obviously outmatched, two TDs is just too many points to pass up.

Kansas City -9.5 over NEW YORK JETS

Once again, Zach Wilson goes up against one of the league’s top defences and, once again, he’s going to come up short. Even spotting this many points to the hosts, it’s not enough to back Wilson.

Seattle +1 over NEW YORK GIANTS

Even with the long week to prepare, it’s hard to back the Giants with Saquon Barkley unlikely to play. Seattle’s offence has impressed after an early stumble and should continue to roll.

Last week: 8-7-1

Season: 24-21-3
