The lines are from Sportsbook Review and the home teams are in CAPs.
Tampa Bay +8.5 over BUFFALO
The Bills got it done against the Bucs, but they had to sweat it out a lot more than I’m sure they hoped they wanted to.
INDIANAPOLIS -1 over New Orleans
The vibes are definitely not right in New Orleans, with plenty of frustration to go around between Derek Carr and his receivers. The Colts have struggles of their own, but showed promise against the tough Browns defence last week.
Jacksonville -2.5 over PITTSBURGH
Mike Tomlin has an outstanding record as a home underdog, going 15-4-3 since 2007, But, he’s 2-1 in that situation this season and that one loss was a doozy – a 30-7 Week 1 loss to the 49ers. The Steelers also have a Thursday nighter on deck and the Jags can’t be overlooked.
Houston -3 over CAROLINA
The first and second (and third, too) picks from this year’s draft face off, but one team is stuck in neutral. Bryce Young isn’t getting much help from the Panthers while the Texans seem to have a bit more motivation.
WASHINGTON +6.5 over Philadelphia
These two sides met just two weeks ago and it went to overtime in Philly as Washington blew it. But, you can’t deny that they get a bit more fired up for the Eagles – who now have to deal with Jalen Hurts at less than 100%.
DALLAS -6.5 over L.A. Rams
The Cowboys come off the bye and look to build off their close win over one L.A. team by taking down the other. Mike McCarthy has a great record coming off a bye and the Rams have faltered against superior competition.
New England +9.5 over MIAMI
The Dolphins are a bit banged up and set to fly to Germany for next week’s game against the Chiefs. Bill Belichick seemingly got things back on track last week against Buffalo and could scrape by with a cover against another division rival.
New York Jets -2.5 over NEW YORK GIANTS
This Battle of New York is one of we’re not sure anyone wants to watch. The Jets defence will give Gang Green the advantage over Big Blue in this one.
Atlanta -2.5 over TENNESSEE
The Titans are in scrapping mode, with their stars on the trade block and Will Levis set for his first career start. The Falcons defence has been improving and we’re expecting Bijan Robinson to be over his headaches.
Minnesota -1 over GREEN BAY
The Vikings seem to have gotten over their early season stumbles and the defence has really pulled together. That’s bad news for Jordan Love, who has hit a rough patch in his first season as starter.
SEATTLE -3.5 over Cleveland
Just what the heck is going on with Deshaun Watson? His inability to stay healthy and lead is really handcuffing a team that should be much better. Seattle is a team that could actually have the NFC West in its sights if the Niners continue to stumble.
Kansas City -7 over DENVER
These teams met just over two weeks ago and the Broncos couldn’t do much to move the ball – what exactly do you think will have changed here? If anything, the Chiefs could win by more than the 11 points they did that Thursday, now that the offence is playing more efficiently.
Cincinnati +3.5 over SAN FRANCISCO
The Bengals have a massive rest advantage in this one, coming off a bye while the 49ers were in Minnesota on Monday night. While the Niners have all the potential to bounce back after two straight losses, this is a tricky spot for them.
ARIZONA +9.5 over Baltimore
Every week, we seem to see the hottest team in the league suffer some sort of setback. The Ravens hold that title right now and might be holding back in this easy matchup.
Chicago +8.5 over L.A. CHARGERS
What do you think is more likely? The Chargers actually beating up on a team that will have a ton of fans to negate any home-field advantage, or the Chargers once again get stuck in a weird, one-score game?
DETROIT -8.5 over Las Vegas
The Lions return home with their tails tucked between their legs after getting whupped by the Ravens and have just the medicine for what ails them. The Raiders are a team in disarray and easy prey for the Lions.
Last week: 3-10
This season: 48-55-3
