The lines are from Sportsbook Review and the home teams are in CAPs.
DETROIT -7.5 over Green Bay
Jordan Love is really showing signs that he can be the Packers’ next franchise QB. It was dicey there for a bit, but he’s showing that signs.
Washington +12.5 over DALLAS
Daron Bland now has five pick-sixes this season, setting the NFL single-season record. There are only 12 WRs that have more TDs than him this year…
San Francisco -7.5 over SEATTLE
The 49ers have come out of their three-game stumble looking every bit like the team to beat in the NFC.
MIAMI -9.5 over New York Jets
We’ve all seen the stats about how poor of a QB Tim Boyle is, even when in college. The Jets turning to him over Zach Wilson isn’t going to fire up anyone, especially against a Dolphins team that is really coming together on defence.
Jacksonville -1.5 over HOUSTON
The Jags will be looking for a little revenge after that big Week 3 loss to the Texans. Jacksonville’s offence finally kicked things into gear last week and should have the advantage in coaching experience with Doug Pederson over first-year boss Demeco Ryans.
INDIANAPOLIS -2.5 over Tampa Bay
This one honestly seems like a coin-flip pick, but we’ll take the Colts, who have home field, a rest advantage and Jonathan Taylor looking like he’s starting to hit his stride.
New England -3.5 over NEW YORK GIANTS
As much as we absolutely hate to lay three points with this pathetic Pats team and Mac Jones, betting against Bill Belichick coming off a bye and facing Tommy DeVito is just a bridge too far.
Carolina +3.5 over TENNESSEE
We knew the Titans were looking to sell at the deadline and seem like they’re looking ahead to next season. Will Levis has potential to be a fine pro, but we don’t think he should be spotting more than a field goal, even against the lowly Panthers.
Pittsburgh -2 over CINCINNATI
Can the Steelers finally get some traction on offence after firing Matt Canada? That will be a the big question here but what really matters is that Jake Browning is piloting the Bengals down the stretch and that’s bad for business.
ATLANTA -1 over New Orleans
The Saints won these two teams’ meetings last year, but it was by a combined four points. Derek Carr looks likely to clear concussion protocol, which we’re not sure is the best news for this Saints offence.
L.A. Rams -1.5 over ARIZONA
Kyler Murray has given the Cards a boost of excitement, but the Rams are getting a boost of their own from the return of Kyren Williams this week. The Rams dominated this matchup a month ago and can do it again.
Cleveland +1.5 over DENVER
The Broncos have strung together a nice four-game winning streak, but there are still plenty of cracks in the foundation. The Browns defence is good enough to overcome the limitations that their banged-up offence provide here.
PHILADELPHIA -3.5 over Buffalo
The Eagles biggest advantage over most teams is in the trenches on both sides of the ball and that’s exactly where it is here, too. We don’t buy that the Bills are fixed after one good game against Zach Wilson’s Jets and will have plenty to think about going into their bye.
LAS VEGAS +8.5 over Kansas City
The Chiefs are sure to bounce back after that prime-time loss to the Eagles, but we know better than to spot too many points with this offence. The Raiders have been recharged since their coaching change and figure to be fired up for this one.
Baltimore -3.5 over L.A. CHARGERS
It’s all coming apart at the seams for the Chargers. Could this be coach Brandon Staley’s last stand? His team’s defence is rank and the offence can’t score enough to keep up, even with Justin Herbert trying his best.
Chicago +3 over MINNESOTA
The Bears fell apart late against the Lions last week, but looked pretty well put together early on. Justin Fields was using his legs to make plays and the defence has been decent. The Vikings have been impressive with Josh Dobbs, but we’ll take the points in prime time.
Last week: 7-6-1
This season: 75–84-5
