The lines are from Sportsbook Review and the home teams are in CAPs.
BALTIMORE +3.5 over Pittsburgh
Yes, the Ravens will be resting their stars, but don’t think for a second that they’ll be taking it easy against their biggest rival. Mason Rudolph has truly sparked the Steelers offence, but this is one team that has a good scouting report against him.
Houston -1.5 over INDIANAPOLIS
Here’s a fun fact: This is not only the Texans’ first prime time game of the season, it’s their first non-1 p.m. kickoff. Houston’s defence took care of business last week as C.J. Stroud made his return from a concussion and the rookie lit up the Colts earlier this season to the tune of 384 yards in just his second start. Indy is just .500 at home and a negative point differential overall – it’s hard to see them in the playoffs.
NEW ORLEANS -3 over Atlanta
These two teams are a combined 10-21-1 against the spread this season, but are both alive to host a playoff game. Can the Falcons save Arthur Smith’s job – and do they even want to? Taylor Heinicke I likely to start and the Falcons are just 1-4 in games he has played this season. We’ll reluctantly take the points.
CINCINNATI -7 over Cleveland
The Browns will be resting several key players with the playoffs sewn up and, even if they did play, we’d like the Bengals here. Cincy can secure a winning record for the season with a victory here and that’s really saying something considering how turbulent of a year it has been.
NEW ENGLAND -1.5 over New York Jets
The Pats have not rolled over in the face of adversity and have looked respectable down the stretch as Bill Belichick shows he can still coach very well. The Jets, on the other hand, have nothing going for them except for Breece Hall. The running back seems to be Gang Green’s only weapon and the Pats are very good at limiting one-dimensional teams.
Jacksonville -5 over TENNESSEE
It’s hard to imagine Trevor Lawrence not gutting it out in this one with the playoffs on the line. The Titans’ season has long been over and it doesn’t matter if we see Ryan Tannehill or Will Levis at QB for this one.
DETROIT -3.5 over Minnesota
The Lions got robbed in Dallas last week and aren’t one to phone it in. Detroit is 11-5 against the spread this season compared to Minnesota’s 7-6-3 record. The Vikes will be turning back to Nick Mullens at QB, which is not exactly a vote of confidence for taking them here.
Tampa Bay -4.5 over CAROLINA
How motivated is this Panthers team after watching their owner throw a drink at a fan last week and barely apologize? This franchise looks like a mess from top to bottom while the Bucs have a good chance at hosting a playoff game.
WASHINGTON +13 over Dallas
The Cowboys need a win here to hold on to the No. 2 seed and keep home-field advantage up to the NFC title game. But, how long will they keep the foot on the gas? It’s impossible to forget that Dallas is much worse on the road and certainly could sneak out a backdoor cover with a line this big.
SAN FRANCISCO -4 over L.A. Rams
With both sides resting their key players, how could you possible guess how this will go? If it’s a matter of depth, we like the Niners’ backups over the Rams’ understudies.
NEW YORK GIANTS +5 over Philadelphia
The vibes in Philadelphia right now are awful as the Super Bowl loser hangover has really kicked in. The Eagles defence is a shell of itself while the offence hasn’t been able to bail the team out often enough.
Chicago +3 over GREEN BAY
Speaking of vibes, who about these Chicago Bears? This team has pulled it together down the stretch, Justin Fields is looking like a cornerstone QB and they’ve sealed the first-overall pick thanks to Carolina’s ineptitude. They’ll be desperate to end the Packers’ playoff hopes.
Seattle -2.5 over ARIZONA
The Seahawks haven’t lost to the Cards since 2021and won’t be looking to change that now with the playoffs on the line. Except both teams to run the ball well considering that both defences rank in the bottom three for rushing yards allowed.
LAS VEGAS -2.5 over Denver
These two teams met back in Week 1 and, oh boy, are these different teams now. The Raiders have been incredibly motivated under interim coach Antonio Pierce, especially on defence. The Broncos are dealing with some key injuries, too.
L.A. CHARGERS -3.5 over Kansas City
Considering that Patrick Mahomes struggled quite a bit to keep the Chiefs offence moving down the stretch and guys like Isiah Pacheco and Travis Kelce are both banged up, we’ll reluctantly back Easton Stick’s Chargers.
Buffalo -3 over MIAMI
The Bills need this win badly and the Dolphins are limping across the finish line after suffering some big injuries. Buffalo ranks third in the league in DVOA, has won five of its past six including four in a row since its bye. The Dolphins have struggled against contending teams and will do so again.
Last week: 10-6
This season: 125-123-8
