While Josh Allen is able escape tricky situations on the field, the Buffalo Bills star has now shown he can also do it off the field, too.
The quarterback was seen getting out of a van with movie star girlfriend Hailee Steinfeld in Paris on Tuesday, where the couple has been spending time during the city’s famous Fashion Week.
However, Allen was quick to bolt out of the vehicle, leaving the actress behind. Steinfield even took a pause for a selfie with a fan waiting outside of the hotel.
While many were quick to rip the star NFL player over his ungentlemanly actions, it was another rip that had him moving quickly for the doors.
Apparently, Allen suffered a wardrobe malfunction at dinner and needed to change his pants.
“My pants ripped at dinner,” Allen posted on X (formerly Twitter). “Didn’t want the cheeks out… I love Paris.”
That would certainly explain his quick actions and the jacket tied around his waist, as shown in a video of the situation posted on TikTok by @starsshootinparis.
Before learning the full story, commenters on social media were quick to judge Allen’s actions.
“Not even hold her hand, or helping her out of the car,” one fan commented on the video, adding that the Pro Bowler could “take some man lessons from Travis Kelce on how to treat your lady.”
Of course, Kelce is dating global megastar Taylor Swift while playing for the Kansas City Chiefs — the team that eliminated Allen’s Bills from the playoffs this season en route to their latest Super Bowl title.
Steinfeld, who was nominated for an Oscar in 2011 for her performance in True Grit, reportedly has been dating Allen since 2023. The couple has been spending time in France as part of Paris Fashion Week and despite this fashion faux pas by Allen, things are going well.
“They always planned to spend more time together after his season ended. Things have been going really well,” People magazine reported in February.
“They’re both very family-oriented and driven, and they want to protect their relationship and keep it private. They’ve been on the same page with all of that.”
