The former NFL head coach known for hiding under hoodies is now out in the open.
Bill Belichick, 72, was seen whisking away 24-year-old girlfriend Jordon Hudson for a ride on his boat in Nantucket, Mass., on Wednesday, according to reports by the Daily Mail.
The outing marked the first time that the couple had been seen together in public since news of their relationship broke.
The ex-New England Patriots boss took the former cheerleader out for a morning spin on his powerboat, which is aptly named VIII Rings after the number of Super Bowl baubles he has in his collection – six as the Pats head coach and two as a defensive coordinator with the New York Giants.
According to the outlet, the couple looked relaxed while carrying supplies down the dock to the ship before departing.
Hudson rocked an off-the-shoulder black top with white lacy shorts, paired with glasses and sandals while Belichick donned a blue polo shirt, shorts and baseball cap.
The pair were accompanied on the dock by an unidentified man who didn’t join for the cruise.
Belichick and the former cheerleader had been keeping a low profile since reports of their relationship made waves last week.
According to the Daily Mail, the duo has been shacking up in one of the future hall of famer’s seven properties on Nantucket, six of which make up a “compound” worth an estimated total of US$15.7 million.
The news outlet also reported that Belichick’s family has been holidaying on his properties while the couple has been there.
This isn’t Hudson’s first time on the exclusive island, having posted photos on social media from the location last month. There’s no word on whether she was accompanied by her boyfriend on that trip.
Fans have been going wild over the couple’s recently revealed relationship, which came to light after a report by TMZ last week.
Belichick and the former competitive cheerleader, who have a 42-year age gap between them, reportedly have been dating since 2022.
The legendary NFL head coach and former cheerleader met on a flight from Boston to Florida and hit it off immediately, according to reports.
The two were said to have bonded on the flight over Hudson’s project on philosophy and the seven-time Super Bowl-winning coach went as far as to sign a copy of her textbook, Deductive Logic.
The duo exchanged contact information during the flight and maintained a friendly relationship as Belichick was still in a relationship with longtime girlfriend Linda Holliday.
However, Page Six reported in September 2023 that Belichick and Holliday had “been involved in a drawn-out, back-and-forth breakup for nearly a year.”
It was during this time that things between the former Patriots head coach, 72, and Hudson, 24, reportedly became romantic.
In fact, it was reported on Wednesday by the Daily Mail that the viral footage of a man appearing to be a shirtless Belichick leaving a woman’s house early one November morning last year was in fact the coach.
Furthermore, the outlet confirmed that he was exiting the Massachusetts residence of Hudson.
Tom Brady even joked about the incident during his own roast on Netflix earlier this year.
“Everybody asks me which ring is my favourite, I used to say ‘the next one,'” Brady began.
“But now that I am retired, my favourite Ring is the camera that caught coach Belichick slinking out.”
While the couple seems happy together — with Hudson attending Brady’s induction into the Patriots Hall of Fame last week and the couple being spotted together in Croatia, many have poked fun at the 48-year age gap between the two.
Ex-New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski also dropped a joke about Belichick dating a much younger woman at Brady’s roast.
During the live Netflix special, Gronkowski recalled times when Belichick compared the team to football players at a local school.
“Coach, you used to talk about Foxborough High School when we sucked,” Gronkowski said. “But now I know why you were so obsessed with Foxborough High School: You were scouting your new girlfriend.”
