These Thanksgiving picks are no turkeys!

There’s nothing like American Thanksgiving and the NFL’s tripleheader of Thursday games. Do you remember when these holiday games used to feel special due to the rarity of playing on a Thursday?

Yeah, it has kind of faded by now with the usual dreck that gets rolled out on Thursday nights. At least with Thanksgiving here, that means there are no more bye weeks and these midweek games will soon come to an end.

The lines are from Vegas and the home teams are in CAPs.

Philadelphia +2 over DETROIT

The Eagles may be reeling on both offence and defence, but this feels like a gut call game, where Chip Kelly proves his doubters wrong and comes up big on a huge stage against a defence that has looked quite good the past few weeks.

Carolina +1.5 over DALLAS

It really doesn’t make sense that the Panthers are getting points here. Of course, maybe this is a trap game waiting for them, with Tony Romo back for the Cowboys. But it’s not like Dallas was overly impressive in beating the fading Dolphins last week.

Chicago +8.5 over GREEN BAY

The Bears have come together since looking awful to open the season. But even while adapting in coach John Fox’s debut against the Packers in Week 1, the Bears only lost by eight. Sure, the game in Green Bay this time and the Pack are dynamite at Lambeau Field, but the Bears haven’t lost by more than three points since Week 3.

Last week: 7-7

This season: 93-59-7
