NFL Conference Finals picks

The lines are from oddsharks.com and the home team is in CAPs.

SAN FRANCISCO -7.5 over Green Bay

The 49ers are already talking about how this matchup won’t be a blowout like when these two teams met in November, but we’re not so sure. San Francisco has looked like the best all-around team in the NFC for most of the season and is only getting healthier. The return of Kwon Alexander should go a long way to helping shut down Aaron Jones and the Packers run game. Aaron Rodgers can certainly make throws, but can his receivers get open against the Niners’ secondary? Green Bay doesn’t ever seem to pt together much more than a decent half of football and that won’t add up to a close game here. The Niners won’t win by almost 30 points, but we can certainly see this one being more than a one-score game.

Tennessee +7.5 over KANSAS CITY

After watching Kansas City’s impressive comeback from down 24 to beat the Texans by 20, you have to be impressed. But here’s the thing: The Titans are a much different team than their division rivals. Tennessee has the unstoppable Derrick Henry to pound the ball with and a much better defensive backfield. Kansas City can certainly explode on offence and Frank Clark’s return gives them an anchor on the defensive line. But it would be risky to think that the Chiefs can blow out one of the best teams going since Ryan Tannehill took over at QB. He hasn’t had to do much, but with A.J. Brown yet to be unleashed, it’s not like Tennessee’s passing game can’t put up a few points when needed.

Last week: 3-1

This playoffs: 6-2
