Seeing someone getting flattened on a football field is a pretty normal occurrence.
But usually, it’s a player wearing full padding that is the one taking a hit from a flying defender, hoping to knock the ball loose.
For one unfortunate misguided soul, it was probably his teeth that knocked a bit loose on Saturday in Tuscaloosa.
An attention-seeking fan tried his luck by running onto the field at Bryant-Denny Stadium following the Alabama Crimson Tide’s win over the Tennessee Volunteers.
The man made it to the 20-yard line before a security guard, in full sprint, delivered a flying tackle, leaving the fan on the grass. The fan didn’t make much of an effort to get up and continue his adventure after taking the punishment.
While many defenders would celebrate a hit this big, the security played it cool, walking away as some other stadium staff tried to pick up the fan to take him away.
There is no word if the security guard is considering taking his game to the pro level.
The game itself featured its fair share of excitement, too.
Alabama stormed back after trailing 20-7 at halftime to score 27 unanswered points and win the game 34-20.
